The sign-up survey for 2026-2027 Introductory Pharmacy Practice Experiences (IPPE) for first year students is now open and will be available until June 23, 2026, at 5pm. Survey directions are listed below. Thank you for your support of our experiential education program!
IPPE Year 1 Rotations
First year students will spend 40 hours over one week in community pharmacies utilizing course activities to explore pharmacist roles and pharmacy services. The 3 sessions available for students to choose from are:
- January 4-8, 2027
- January 11-15, 2027
- March 22-26, 2027
Survey Information
- Please complete the online sign-up survey by June 23, 2026, at 5pm
- Only main contacts at each site are able to complete the sign-up survey. If you are a main contact and do not have the sign-up survey available, please contact Tina Rundle.
- If you are a pharmacist at University Hospital and Clinics, do not sign up as Ryan Seagren will be providing availability for UWHC.

- If you have any student housing opportunities, please contact Amanda Watter at amanda.watter@wisc.edu
- First Year IPPE assignments will be posted by October 1, 2026.
Survey Directions
- From the Experiential Landing Page: https://experiential.sop.pharmacy.wisc.edu/
- Go to “Intranet Login” and log in.
- Click on “Experiential Portal”
- On the left menu, click on “First Year IPPE Sign Up Survey”
- Select the site location you wish to have First Year IPPE’s.
- Please indicate the number of students you are able to accommodate for each session.
- Each session is a 40-hour experience.
- Please indicate the maximum number of First Year IPPE students you can accommodate for the year.
- Feel free to enter any comments you may have in the comment box.
- When you are finished, click the ‘Submit Survey’ button!
- If you are the contact for multiple sites, select another site and fill out that form as well.
Future Survey Dates
- Sign up for APPE students will take place in August 2026.
- Sign up for Second Year and Third Year IPPE students will take place in November 2026.
