UW Madison School of Pharmacy Annual Preceptor Meeting

We will offer 1.0 CE for this meeting.*

Please  pre-register using the link below whether you wish to receive CE credit or not. The presentation materials will be available 1 week before the event via the CE Portal, so you must register through the link below in order to get the Zoom Link.  Please do not share the Zoom link. It’s important that preceptors register so we can keep track of participants. Thank you! 

How to register:

  • Make sure you have your NET ID and access to your Wisc.edu Email account*  if you have it.  (Don’t worry – you can register using a visitor account if needed, but your NET ID is preferred.)
  • Register here: https://ce.icep.wisc.edu/hide/preceptor-2025
  • Click the red button that says {Register/Enroll}.  If the red button says {Begin} you have already registered. 
  • You will need to create a profile if you have not done so previously
  • The email confirmation with the Zoom Link will go to the email address attached to your NET ID (most likely your wisc.edu email)
  • The confirmation email will come from UW–Madison ICEP no-reply@icep.wisc.edu and will include the Zoom link.  Please keep that email for your access on March 4.

You can access your wisc.edu email here: https://www.wisc.edu/    
Click on {My UW} at the top and then {My UW Home} you should be able to access your Wisc.edu email. 
Most preceptors have their wisc.edu email forwarded to another email. 

How to access presentation materials:

Materials are currently available in the Preceptor Development Center and will also be available in the ICEP Portal the day of the event. (login required) 

How to obtain CE:

Attendance Verification: You will receive an attendance verification code during the Annual Preceptor meeting to mark your attendance. Enter this code in the Attendance Verification step (in Ethos) – OR – text the code to 608-260-7097.

Please join us for a discussion on the use of generative artificial intelligence (AI) in experiential education. This presentation will provide a foundational overview of generative AI, explore its potential applications in precepting, and offer guidance on navigating student use of AI during rotations.

  • Understand how to navigate student use of generative AI in the experiential setting
  • Identify and explain how to use generative AI tools as a pharmacy preceptor
  • Obtain knowledge, tools, and resources to effectively support students with the use of generative AI in the experiential setting
